Remodel to a 2,600 square foot house in La Jolla.  Due to Mount Soledad restrictions, additional height was not allowed, so the existing shell was retained for a coastal permit exemption.  The existing garage was moved to be under the main level of the house which added additional living area to the main floor.  A new roof was constructed with 3 roof plates angled toward and focusing on the ocean views.  A dynamic expression is created for the exterior which also informs and defines the interior spaces.
